The County of Riverside's Office of the County Counsel has an exciting opportunity for a Law Office Supervisor I - CN within their Administration Team, located in Riverside.

The Law Office Supervisor I - CN position with the Office of the County Counsel is a key administrative role that focuses on managing and coordinating a variety of office functions, primarily related to human resources, recordkeeping, and general office operations.

The individual in this role will oversee HR functions, including supporting recruitment efforts, onboarding new employees, and maintaining accurate employee records.

They will also assist with payroll processing and handling sensitive personnel information with a high level of confidentiality.

Additionally, this position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with record retention policies and managing the office's recordkeeping system, ProLaw.

The Supervisor will stay current with any changes in policies regarding record retention, paperwork tracking, and related legal requirements, and will ensure that these procedures are properly followed.

As part of the office's administrative responsibilities, the Law Office Supervisor I - CN will assist with various office assistant tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency and smooth operation of the office.

Candidate will assist with IT duties which include monitoring IT help desk tickets, surplus, and managing of IT equipment.

Candidates may perform front desk duties, including serving as the first point of contact for visitors.

Competitive candidates for this position should have a strong background in human resources including experience with recruitment, onboarding, and employee recordkeeping.

Ideal candidates will also have experience in the public sector, as well as familiarity with HR/Payroll software such as Peoplesoft HCM and NeoGov.

The ability to manage multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals is essential.

A strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity are also crucial to success in this role.

The position requires the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and adhering to County, State, and Federal policies.

This includes being proactive in supporting the County Counsel and team while ensuring compliance with legal and administrative procedures.

Employees in a Confidential designated class are defined by Section 3.b.

of the Employee Relations Resolution, as "any employee who may be privy to the decision-making process of County management affecting employee relations" and are only authorized for use within the departments of Executive Office, Clerk of the Board, County Counsel, and Human Resources.
