Development Specialist II
ABOUT THE POSITION
The County of Riverside Department of Economic Development is seeking to fill a Development Specialist II to support the Indio location.
The Development Specialist II will be responsible for supporting and promoting the goals of the County of Riverside along with media outreach.
Manage the day to day operations of the Department's Revolving Loan Fund, track and report to US Economic Development Agency program expenditures and metrics.
Additionally, the DSII will be responsible for demographic and market data, import/export referrals, marketing exposure, business expansion and retention (to include business site visitations) and attend conferences (local and out of state).
Candidates must be English/Spanish bilingual and satisfactorily complete a online exam.
Competitive candidates will demonstrate experience with business & economic development.
Technical skills in the use of video conferencing software; MSTeams, Google Meets, Zoom, Skype and GoToWebinar.
Candidates with analysis and research of federal and state regulations are highly desired.
This position will travel to and from the Indio and Riverside offices multiple times per week.
This position follows a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Collect, organize and analyze program or project data.
• Conduct needs assessment and determine program priorities.
• Identify areas of economic, housing and community development, workforce development, and aviation needs; analyze the effectiveness of existing programs in these areas.
• Ensure implementation of programmatic, organizational, administrative, budgetary, financial, and personnel elements of a variety of economic, housing and community development, workforce development, and aviation programs funded by outside and governmental agencies.
