Senior Process Engineer - Utilities

Your Job

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Senior Process Engineer.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with the power & recovery department to improve process optimization, drive cost & waste reduction projects, and provide technical problem solving.

This role will report to the Process Engineering Manager whom is a part of the Mill Operational Excellence Team.

Our Team

The Brunswick Cellulose facility is the largest integrated fluff pulp mills in the world with a modern woodyard, fiberline, three paper machines, waste treatment plant, and utilities operations.

The Brunswick Cellulose Mill, located in the southeast corner of Georgia is within minutes of downtown Brunswick and about an hour from Jacksonville, FL to the south and Savannah, GA to the north.

What You Will Do



* Partner with an operating department to provide



* Technical problem solving


* Trial plan development & execution


* Waste and cost reduction projects


* Process optimization


* Debottleneck production processes



* Engage with corporate technical resources to integrate into mill operations.


* Work with new process engineers, co-ops, and interns to build future mill leaders.


* Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and reliability to troubleshoot process and equipment issues

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Experience in a process engineering, process optimization, or supervisory/leadership role within Pulp/paper industry


* Experience driving change, implementing process improvements, and achieving tangible results.


* Bachelor's degree in engineering or pulp and paper science

What Will Put You Ahead


* Prior supervisory/leadership experience managing and mentoring direct reports.


* Operations, maintenance, or reliability experience in a pulp and paper facility.


* Experience in a senior process engineer role within pulp/paper industry.


* Experience with capital projects and process design.


* Knowledge of process optimization strategies and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean, or related frameworks
