This position reports into Team Leader - Maintenance and is based at Lititz, PA.

What You Will Do

To ensure success as a mechanical technician, you should exhibit solid knowledge of mechanical performance standards and experience in a similar field of specialization.

A top-notch mechanical technician will be someone whose mechanical expertise translates into optimized machinery and equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities


* The Mechanical Technician is responsible for equipment repairs and changeovers including preventive maintenance activities, corrective troubleshooting on machinery and its associated electrical and instrumental devices, machine setup, fabrication of machine parts as qualified, equipment selection and installation, and equipment systems performance improvement.


* Adheres to requirements of Good Manufacturing Practice as specified by the Food and Drug Administration as related to the job of Maintenance Technician


* Supports packaging and manufacturing line support.


* Maintains clean and orderly workstations.


* Orders and maintains parts for assigned equipment responsibilities.


* Availability to work one of these shifts on a regular basis is Required: 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:05pm) Mon - Fri, 3rd shift (11:00pm - 7:05am) Mon - Fri, 4th shift (6:00am - 6:00pm) Fri, Sat & Sunday, or 5th shift (6:00pm - 6:00am) Fri, Sat & Sunday.

Qualifications

Required:


* Minimum education requirements of one-year certificate/apprenticeship from college, technical, trade, and/or military school in a related trade area


* 2-4 years experience in a related field


* Abili ty to operate machine shop equipment


* Self-motivated and able to work well both independently and in an empowered team environment


* A requirement will be to pass a written technical test.

Specialized skills in one facet of job functions will not qualify a person for this position.
