Asset Strategy Manager

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Asset Strategy Manager to join the Capital Projects and Engineering team.

The Asset Strategy Manager will develop team members, while working alongside operations and engineering to build a complete asset strategy for capital projects.

They will prioritize work in a dynamic team environment and partner with both internal and external contacts.

This position is a remote based role with 25% travel involved.

Our Team

The Asset Strategy Team supports all of Georgia-Pacific from Building Products, Dixie, Packaging & Cellulose, and Pulp and Paper sites.

The team delivers asset strategies for capital projects from hierarchy to BOMs, spare parts, lubrication, inspections, NRX and matter port scans.

What You Will Do


* Recruit, manage and develop direct reports through servant leadership and collaboration


* Lead a team to develop Asset Strategies for equipment to maximize equipment reliability and provide for a continuous stream of information to project managers and operations


* Communicate status updates to customers and suppliers (e.g., commitment dates) and work with high degree of detail and accuracy to respond quickly to customer needs


* Prioritize competing obligations by leveraging critical thinking and economic principles


* Evaluate trade-offs, optimize resource allocation, and make informed decisions that align with our company's vision and objectives

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Leadership experience influencing, mentoring, and coaching others


* 5 or more years of work experience in a manufacturing operation


* Experience applying reliability concepts within a manufacturing environment


* Experience with hazard awareness and risk reduction


* Able to travel 25% of the time

What Will Put You Ahead


* Experience in the Pulp and Paper industry


* Experience working with mill operating and maintenance personnel


* Experience in managing and developing direct reports to achieve team and organizational goals


* Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System such as SAP, MP2, or similar


* Experience using Excel to create pivot tables and analyze data

For this role, we anticipate paying $90K-$120K peryear.

This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
