GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the general direction of a Fleet Supervisor, the Fleet Technician II is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of vehicles and equipment, including automotive, diesel, construction, and agricultural machinery.

This position includes overseeing subordinate mechanics, acting as a Lead Worker, and managing the operations of a small repair shop or garage when applicable.

The technician must possess strong technical aptitude and diagnostic skills, utilizing computer interfaces and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot vehicle systems effectively.

Additionally, the Fleet Technician II is responsible for performing both minor and major repairs, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and ensuring compliance with preventative maintenance and safety programs.

This role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while providing guidance and support to team members.
