Security Manager
The Security Manager, located on-site with a specific client, is responsible for developing and implementing highly effective security strategies and policies, overseeing incident and crisis management activities, providing security-related counsel, and completing dedicated security functions, including asset protection, asset recovery, and investigations, and managing, developing, and consulting on new security programs.
This position will serve as a client's key point of contact for all global issues related to Corporate Security.
Essential Functions:
1.
Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
2.
Develop, implement, and maintain site security action plans and policies, including risk assessments and threat analysis.
3.
Provide regional oversight and strategic direction to enterprise contract security providers.
4.
Develop and deliver security programs and training for personnel and visitors.
5.
Implement and monitor physical security policies, fire/life safety standards, and security awareness programs.
6.
Actively monitor security risks and trends, providing timely advisories and briefings to relevant stakeholders.
7.
Conduct investigations into complex security incidents, including preparing for legal proceedings and ensuring proper documentation for security-related processes and incidents.
8.
Serve on incident/emergency management teams to ensure preparedness against threats and make informed decisions under pressure during crises or emergency situations.
9.
Provide crisis management support and coordinate emergency preparedness efforts.
10.
Maintain effective liaison relationships with law enforcement, emergency response organizations, and other agencies.
11.
Manage interactions with business partners and government agencies for security compliance and support.
12.
Oversee security services for senior executives and major events, ensuring safety and protection.
13.
Facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements and implement auditing standards.
14.
Support confidential inquiries and investigations, ensuring adherence to legal and security norms.
15.
Manage the budget allocation for security functions, ensuring effective use of resources.
16.
Coordinate security scopes for new office projects, including access control systems and vendor management.
17.
Conduct background checks and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs).
18.
Facilitate the implementation of best practices and ongoing improvement in security processes.
19.
All other duties, as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Corporate Security, Business Management, or Project Management, with at least ten years of management experience in one or more of the following areas: Corporate security, law enforcement, private contract security, or specialized military leadership.
NY State Armed Guard Card and CCW permit are required.
