The Category Manager is responsible for


* D riving the development of API and regulated chemical category practices for China both Selfcare business , including sourcing strategy definition, deployment, and stakeholder management, to maximize total cost of ownership savings and Procurement's value contribution while achieving compliance with policies, strategies, and processes


* S triving to meet the mutually agreed Procurement targets contributing to the overall budgeting targets


* In addition to the elements mentioned above the Sr Procurement Manager is accountable to define and achieve clear targets in conjunction with his/her Procurement counterparts and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:


* Defines Category Strategy for China Selfcare Business


* Leads API category strategy implementation and savings realization


* Supports the work and efforts of a cross-functional Sourcing Team in all stages of a strategic sourcing project


* Manages commercial supplier relationship management with key suppliers within the defined category scope


* Manages relationship with key stakeholders and business representatives

Required Qualifications


* Academic background: Appropriate University/bachelor degree qualification is essential.

A recognized qualification in procurement would be considered an asset


* Experience: Extensive knowledge of category at hand is preferred, with substantial professional experience 10 years in the same functional domain in pharma industry


* Language skills: Proficiency in English essential
