Maintenance Mechanic IV

Under general supervision, the Maintenance Mechanic performs advanced maintenance and repair of office, production, and outside areas of facility.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


* Maintenance / Repair:
+ Fabricates, assembles, alters, and repairs production machinery, plant machinery, and building utilities and performs preventive maintenance tasks.
+ Follow all safety precautions, rules and policies while performing general maintenance and repairs.



* Communicate repair needs/facility problems:
+ Inform manager of current and potential needed repairs, hazards, or facility problems.
+ Complete required documentation.



* Operate power tools/devices:
+ Safely operate small equipment such as:
o Small electric power tools (paint sprayer, drills, saws, etc.)
o Follow all safety precautions, rules, and policies while operating small equipment.

Education & Experience


* High school diploma / GED


* Minimum of 6 years directly related experience demonstrating knowledge in mechanical plumbing, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical.

Skills


* HVAC and CNC Machine experience is a plus, but not mandatory


* Language Skills:
+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence, and memos.
+ Ability to write simple correspondence.
+ Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and instruction manuals.


* Mathematical Skills:
+ Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
+ Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, including fractions, and precision measurements (i.e., micrometers).


* Reasoning Ability:
+ Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnish in written, oral, or diagram form.
+ Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
