Job Responsibilities


* Design, implement, and maintain database systems to support our applications and operations


* Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and query optimization


* Ensure database security by implementing and maintaining access controls, encryption, and other security measures


* Develop and maintain database backup and recovery procedures


* Collaborate with the software development team to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements


* Provide database support and guidance to the software development team during the development lifecycle


* Provides comprehensive database engineering services on projects and initiatives


* Develops database architecture to address business requirements, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability


* Generally, has comprehensive knowledge and expertise of database technologies, along with solid programming, design and system analysis skills


* Performs specialized assignments; solves complex problems and develops non-traditional solutions through sophisticated analytical thinking


* Interprets internal/external business environment


* Recommends best practices to improve processes or services


* Impacts achievements of customer, operational, project or service objectives
