Utility Operator

SHIFT: 1st Shift (7am to 3pm)

Primary shift is 1st shift.

May be required to cover 2nd or 3rd shift F requently at supervisor's discretion based on manufacturing needs.

PAY : Starting at $27.45/Hr, up to $28.95/Hr within 6 months based on knowledge of the position

Benefits: 120 Hours PTO (Paid Time Off) pro-rated the 1st year, time available based on seniority.

Plus 10 paid holidays.

JOB SUMMARY:

Utility Operator


* Primarily a Relief operator for Packers, MicroRoom, Palletizer, Warehouse, Mill Room (will be expected to learn all jobs)


* Break Relief


* Coordinate Inbound and Outbound Deliveries


* Load Product Using a Forklift


* Pick Customer Orders by Hand


* Organize Storage Areas


* Assist with Inventory Counts


* Housekeeping and Other Jobs as Assigned


* Opportunity to Cross Train in other Areas of Production


* Particular Attention to Safety and Quality.


* Care Taken to Eliminate Waste and Create Efficiencies.


* Create a Team Environment


* Fill in for other Shifts as the Need Arises.


* Training Conducted by Operators & Supervisors.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:


* Basic computer skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


* Age: 18 years or older


* Comprehension: Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions.


* Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.


* Safety: Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and one's co-workers at all times without exception

Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include:


* Able to lift 60 lbs


* Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements


* Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
