This position provides leadership and the day-to-day supervision for a team of statisticians and the SAS programmer team.

This position will support scientific processes that drive quality and timeliness and add value in alignment with Global Clinical Development priorities and initiatives.

This position will closely collaborate and communicate with global R&D functions including other functional leads, research scientists, study investigators, veterinary clinicians, medical writing, regulatory affairs and quality assurance to assure commitments are met with quality and speed.

This position may also lead statistical support for Innovation projects.

This position will additionally support local leadership initiatives at the Elanco India Alliance Center.

Functions, Duties, Tasks:

Leadership and Team Management:


* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of statisticians and SAS programmers, providing regular feedback and development opportunities.

This includes managing performance, hiring, terminations, and contractor agreements.


* Foster a positive and collaborative team environment aligned with Elanco values (integrity, respect, and excellence) and behavioral pillars (involve, deliver, innovate, and own).


* Develop and track team performance metrics and key activities, reporting progress to Sr management.


* Integrate Elanco culture into hiring practices and intern development.

Project Management and Execution:


* Oversee planning and execution of SAS programming support for global projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget deliverables, and quality standards.


* Collaborate with Data Management, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Pet Health and Farm Animal clinical Development, ensuring the alignment of local statistics activities with the global statistics team to achieve project goals.


* Manage project timelines and budgets effectively, contributing to the successful delivery of the Elanco pipeline.
