Your Role: Global Logistics Strategy & Governance Leader

Primary relationship owner for Global Freight Forwarder partners, cost and service optimization for current internal end-to-end logistics networks and developing the required processes and infrastructure for future logistics networks.

Your Responsibilities:


* Manage and foster Global Freight Forwarder relationships through optimized cost and service solutions to meet Elanco’s business requirements


* Measure 3PL operational effectiveness through development of a comprehensive set of KPIs, facilitation of Quarterly Business Reviews and implementation of continuous improvement programs


* Identify potential external events that could impede global material flows and develop contingency plans to reduce risks to the business


* Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and implement end-to-end logistics network solutions in support of mergers, acquisitions or other changes to Elanco’s supply chain


* Support Inter-Company Transportation Teams through effective lane routing assignments and adjust as necessary due to equipment/space availability and service level deficiencies; key contributor to ocean, air and road RFI/RPI processes and lead the implementation of outcomes

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):


* Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Industrial Engineering


* Required Experience: Combination of 10-15 years international freight transportation and import/export experience with a global manufacturing organization and a Top 25 Global Freight Forwarder in account management and/or operations


* Top Skills: Pharma or Life Sciences experience and knowledge of GMP and Regulatory requirements; deep knowledge of supply chain physical and financial material flows
