IT Governance Lead

Join Georgia-Pacific as an IT Governance Lead to shape governance processes at a leading global manufacturer.

You'll be a key member of the Infrastructure and Site Reliability IT team, enhancing IT governance across North American manufacturing facilities.

What You Will Do


* Maintain and grow IT governance framework adoption enabling disciplined approach to standard adoption and consumption that align to organization objectives, policies, and regulations.


* Coordinate and oversee the IT governance activities by partnering with technology domain leaders to enable oversight of standard IT solutions and manage non-standard requests.


* Establish reporting methodology to indicate overall health of governance framework and adoption to key stakeholders.


* Collaborate with stakeholders to guide technology adoption at scale, while leveraging the governance framework to ensure operational readiness.


* Provide guidance to technology domain leaders on governance topics like standard documentation and technology adoption methodology.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including application developers, network engineers, and cybersecurity specialists.

This includes leading discussions, gathering requirements, and providing technical guidance to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions.


* Knowledge of IT Governance Frameworks like COBIT, ITIL, TOGAF, and other relevant standards that guide IT governance


* Proficiency in creating and maintaining clear, comprehensive, and standardized documentation of IT processes, standards, and policies.


* Strong analytical skills with the Ability to analyze IT processes and identify areas for improvement, waste reduction, and cost optimization.


* Strong communication and collaboration skills being able to work effectively with various stakeholders, including IT teams, management, and possibly external auditors or consultants.


* Attention to detail with an eye for detail to ensure thoroughness in documentation and governance activities.


* Passion for continuous improvement in IT practices and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing best practices.


* General technical understanding of the server, network, and security infrastructure.
