Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer/ Controls Engineer
Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer/ Controls Engineer in our El Paso, TX, location.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and control systems, ensuring efficiency and quality in our fabrication operations.
What do you get to do in this position?
* Design and implement manufacturing processes for fabrication systems, ensuring optimal performance and quality.
* Develop and program control systems for manufacturing equipment, including PLCs and HMIs.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
* Conduct process analysis and optimization to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, including process specifications, control logic diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all engineering practices.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
* Provide training and support to production staff on new technologies and processes.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or controls engineering, preferably in a fabrication environment.
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and control systems.
* Proficiency in CAD software and programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
