As a transportation driver, you will be ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of residents to scheduled medical appointments, outings, and other approved activities.
This includes assisting residents with loading and unloading facility vehicles, maintaining vehicle safety, and ensuring a positive community image.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist residents with safely entering and exiting facility-approved vehicles.
* Safely transport residents to medical appointments, outings, and other activities.
* Maintain the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to ensure safety and comfort.
* Monitor vehicle maintenance logs and coordinate regular service (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations).
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Must be flexible with work hours in case of late-running appointments or activities.
* Demonstrate and maintain competency in clinical-based transfer techniques, including assisting mobile residents into and out of vans.
* Transferring residents into and out of wheelchairs.
* Properly securing wheelchair-bound residents in vehicles.
* Must be able to lift, transfer, and mobilize patients weighing up to 70 pounds in confined spaces....
