Lead Software Engineer - Java Backend for Authentication

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector and Fraud Risk technology, you will play a crucial role in an agile team, focusing on the enhancement, construction, and delivery of trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.
As a key technical contributor, your responsibilities will include developing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions, all in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
* Proficient in design patterns like Microservices, APIs.
* Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
* Expertise building and operating large-scale high-performance environments with distributed systems and cloud technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, etc.).
* Work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
* Experience with developing large scale platforms with strong understanding of complex distributed systems running on hybrid infrastructure (on premises, private and private cloud environments).
* Excellent communication skills and ability to present to and communicate effectively with key stakeholders across product, technology, data and design.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
* Evaluate sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
* Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think.
* Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
* 8+ years' experience in design, develop, and maintain robust applications specifically using Java 21 and Spring Boot.
* Strong understanding of Kafka.
* Work with Cassandra/Oracle databases to ensure data integrity and performance.
* Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
* Experience in Service-oriented architecture and familiarity with different design and architectural patterns.
* Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
* Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
* Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
