Lead Application Developer

Description & Requirements

We are looking for an experienced application development leader to modernize and maintain a broad application portfolio including geospatial, mobile, web-based, and business applications for a Federal critical infrastructure agency.

They will lead a development team to support full stack applications in languages like Java, Angular, C#, PHP, React, and Vue.js.

These applications enable the American public and critical infrastructure leaders' real-time visibility to environmental and compliance information throughout the United States.

This leader will lead a team of 4-5 developers to deliver accessible, elastic environmental information for the agency and American public, as well as integrate with adjacent program offices to integrate and maintain capabilities.

Major responsibilities include:



* Lead and manage a team of 4-5 full stack application and software developers


* Develop, create, and modify business applications software or specialized utility programs.


* Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.


* Design software or customize software based on client requirements, with an emphasis on optimizing efficiency and reliability


* May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.


* Interface with technical team members, adjacent program offices, adjacent contractors, and external stakeholders

Minimum Requirements (required skills that align with contract LCAT, verifiable, and measurable):



* US Citizenship Required


* Ability to obtain US Public Trust Security Clearance


* University degree (BS) in a closely related field (Information Technology, Business Administration)


* 10+ years demonstrated experience as a full stack software or application developer


* Required Certifications: Advanced certification in programming languages like Java, C#, PHP, Angular, and React

Preferred Key Skills and Abilities (not contractually required):



* Experience with EPA Program offices, development methodologies, and product lifecycles
