This position will primarily be responsible for benefits; however, they will also work closely with and assist with recruitment efforts and payroll tasks.

H R representatives at Altec are responsible for adding value t o our organizations a n d c o n tr i b u t i n g t o their ethical success .

HR representatives will advocate for the profession by engaging in activities that enhance its credibility and value.

The ideal candidate will have positive attitude, be customer orientated, and empathic toward our associates.

Must also be self starter and be able to handle stressful situation.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


* May perform searches for qualified job candidates using sources such as computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, social media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, or associate referrals.


* Review and evaluate applicant qualifications or eligibility according to established guidelines.

Review employment applications and job orders to match applicants with job requirements.


* Coordinates with outside staffing agencies to secure temporary associates based on departmental needs.


* Onboards associates and processes hiring-related paperwork, including responsibility for E-Verify proper I-9 verification.


* Informs job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotional opportunities.


* May assist in interpreting and explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.


* Prepares or maintains employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions; Processes paperwork for new associates and enters associate information into the payroll system; Conducts employment verifications.


* May be responsible for conducting exit interviews and completing necessary employment termination paperwork.


* Compiles associate time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.


* Computes wages and deductions and enter data into computers; Keeps track of leave time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave, for associates


* All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:


* High School Diploma or GED required.


* Two years of applicable experience required.


* In lieu of experience, a college Degree is required.


* Excellent computer skills required.

Prefer Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, and/or Kronos.
