* Ph.D.

in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science with 5 years' experience.


* Broad understanding of metallurgy and advanced failure analysis techniques


* Demonstrated expertise relating to a broad range of metallic material including steels, stainless steels, titanium alloys, aluminum alloys and nickel-based alloys.


* Familiarity with advanced analytical techniques is essential.


* Hands on experience with SEM/EDS EBSD microscopy and metallography are essential.


* Familiarity with surface engineering techniques such as cleaning, plating, and finishing.


* Experience with problem solving and failure analysis in areas such as stress corrosion cracking, fatigue and other fracture mechanisms, contamination problems, wear failures, adhesion and bonding problems, corrosion/oxidation, heat treatments, and plating issues.


* This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), which requires U.S.

person status.

Preferred Qualifications:


* Experience with quality control testing in a regulatory environment.


* Litigation consulting experience


* Electrochemical corrosion testing experience.
