Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems.

The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.

The Lead Environmental Scientist develops programs to track and measure environmental performance.

The role will ensure that cost effective compliance opportunities are pursued; develop programs to streamline environmental compliance and make compliance routine and systematic; and provide meaningful metrics to the organization so that continuous environmental performance can be pursued.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


* Development of key environmental performance indicators.


* Communicate effective strategies to systemize environmental compliance and ensure continuous improvement.


* Manage environmental procedures and keep same up-to-date and ensure that appropriate training is being conducted.


* Develop strategies to reduce costs associated with compliance.


* Develop strategies to capitalize on pollution control requirements.


* Work with Procurement to bundle environmental services.


* Setting and achieving environmental compliance goals that support and meet the expectations of Director, Environmental.


* Participation in industry associations as appropriate.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:


* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or other relevant technical field is preferred.


* 10 or more years of experience in a compliance or regulatory capacity in the energy or related industries is required.


* Proven environmental compliance skills in the energy industry is required.


* Proven skills in the areas of communication, organization, influencing, and conflict resolution are required.


* Proven ability to evaluate issues, define requirements, and implement action plans to accomplish organizational goals is required.
