POST Long Island: Physical Therapist Full-Time

Liberty POST (formerly Island Therapies) is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Early Childhood Physical Therapist for full time employment to work with children who are birth-5 years old through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs.

Immediate positions are available in the sensory gym at our office in Deer Park.

We employ over 500 professionals in a variety of settings and offer a collaborative team approach to provide evaluation, direct therapy, and family education through child-directed play.

We are focused on the importance of a child’s natural learning environment, a family’s unique strengths and needs and the diverse population we serve.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:  


* Monitor and track child’s progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.


* Record information on treatment and progress in a timely manner using Electronic Medical Record system.


* Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child’s records and other documentations.


* Conduct physical therapy sessions for children with various diagnoses (ex: ASD, dyspraxia, gross motor delay, etc.) in our sensory gym in Deer Park.


* Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.

 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:     


* Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of New York required.


* A minimum of two years of experience working with children is preferred.


* Knowledge of MS Word and comfortable with working with computers and databases


* A valid driver's license and proof of car insurance.


* Great interpersonal and communication skills

Pay Rates:

Full time:  starting salary $72,000, commensurate with experience.
