Job Summary
Responsible for using equipment for the assembly and processing tasks to produce finished products according to established specifications.
Accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines.
Safely and efficiently executes daily tasks related to extrusion manufacturing of synthetic absorbable and non-absorbable multifilament products.
Typical tasks include start-up, operation, and shut-down of extrusion and orientation processes, thread-up and doffing of production spools, testing of products, and troubleshooting of processes.
Responsible for performing manufacturing procedures and executing diverse tasks in various processing areas such as biology, microbiology, biotechnology, medical technology or biochemistry.
Follows regulatory requirements as well as policies and procedures of the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
* Operates production equipment to produce subassemblies or finished products.
* Interprets instructions and specifications and uses to set up equipment.
* Checks products on assembly line to confirm that they are properly assembled and removes defective products.
* Cleans and maintains equipment as needed.
* Notifies supervisor of maintenance and/or repairs needed on equipment.
* Prepares accurate records/documentation related to quality and work in progress.
