Job Title: Activities Assistant

Job Description: We are currently seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team at Ridgeway Post Acute.

The Activities Assistant will play a key role in planning and implementing a variety of recreational and social activities for our residents, promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:


* Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational activities and events for residents, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and outings


* Encourage resident participation in activities and engage with them in a positive and supportive manner


* Assist in maintaining activity supplies and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and in good working condition


* Collaborate with the activities director and other staff members to develop and implement engaging and diverse activity programs that meet the interests and preferences of our residents


* Provide one-on-one support and assistance to residents who may need additional help participating in activities


* Document resident participation and feedback on activities, and communicate any concerns or suggestions to the activities director

Requirements:


* Previous experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting preferred


* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


* Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and leading activities


* Ability to work effectively as part of a team


* Compassionate and patient demeanor


* High school diploma or equivalent
