Principle Duties and Responsibilities
1.
Updates financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
2.
Contributes to the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and assists with complex accounting tasks.
3.
Assists in monthend/yearend closings and department projects.
4.
Reviews and reconciles inventory, payable, billing, and cash sub-system transactions to ensure accuracy.
5.
Prepares journal entries to record corrections and accounting adjustments.
6.
Manages and calculates accruals.
7.
Prepares and analyze financial statements and managerial reports.
8.
Conducts financial analysis to identify trends and variances.
9.
Maintains financial records for subsidiary companies by analyzing balance sheet general ledger accounts.
10.
Reconciles general ledger and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing information.
11.
Ensures compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
12.
Prepares and files tax returns, including identifying tax deductions and credits.
13.
Assists with internal and external audits, including evaluating internal controls and recommending improvements.
14.
Supports cross-functional teams to research financial questions and provide insights.
15.
Performs fixed asset accounting.
16.
Stays informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices
17.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
18.
Utilizes accounting software and tools effectively to streamline financial processes.
Job Specifications
1.
College degree is required.
2.
2+ years’ experience in accounting.
3.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
4.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
