Summer Intern - Finance

As a GXO Intern, you'll have the opportunity to work with dedicated professionals in an exciting, fast-paced environment, learning the skills that will help you build a meaningful career.

During the 10-week program, you will learn about logistics and leadership by gaining working knowledge of the different facets of our business through working in corporate financial planning analysis or operations financial planning & analysis.

What you'll do on a typical day:


* Placement in corporate financial planning & analysis or operations financial planning & analysis.


* Learn the basic job functions and perform responsibilities relative to the finance assignment to meet weekly goals and objectives


* Collaborate with various functional teams, including operations, controlling, auditing, accounting, IT, invoicing, and new site implementation.


* Take initiative to learn GXO finance and account operations


* Participate and/or lead projects with key partners and peer interns by creating and developing project plans, determine requirements, deliverables, resources, timing/milestones, and risks.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


* Current collegiate Junior or Senior in pursuit of Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with anticipated graduation by June 2026.


* In academic good standing with a grade point average of at least 3.0.


* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).


* Advanced skills to build complex formulas in Excel.


* Strong verbal and written communication skills to present information and data in an organized, concise, and audience appropriate manner.


* Detail-oriented and organized.


* Ability to travel on occasion.


* High degree of integrity to maintain confidentiality.

It'd be great if you also have:


* Leadership and/or people management experience in collegiate programs and activities, or in previous/current employment.


* Ability to use data to understand problems, identify potential solutions, and suggest the solution that's most likely to have the desired impact.


* Communicate and build relationships with others that contribute to the efficiency of the team.


* Knowledge or experience with Oracle and PowerBI software applications.
