The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta Research Department is now hiring for our Spring 2025 Survey Center Internship Program.

This is an onsite/hybrid (preferred) or remote position eligible; candidate must be available to work 15 hours a week during the following days/times: Monday-Friday 8AM-6PM EST.

The Research Division focuses on every aspect of the economy, from the local to the international level.

At the Atlanta Fed, studies range from analyzing rural banking markets in the Southeast to designing and testing economic forecasting models used in policy making.

SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT

The Economic Survey Research Center collects, analyzes, and interprets high-quality business and household survey data that inform Federal Reserve policy, contribute to academic research, and foster a greater understanding of the overall economic environment.

Selected students will be cold calling US firms to solicit their participation in the Atlanta Fed's national business surveys, the Survey of Business Uncertainty and the CFO Survey.

Additionally, students will conduct outreach via phone and email to non-responsive firms to prompt their participation and assist with questions.

The data collected in these surveys are used to help better inform monetary policymakers on firm expectations and key concerns.

Selected student will be exposed to development opportunities within the Research Division and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

QUALIFICATIONS

·        Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, preferably in economics.

·        Excellent customer service and communication skills.
