Assistant Warehouse Supervisor

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Warehouse Supervisor to support the managing our warehouse operations.

In this role, you will work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and Distribution Clerk to ensure the efficient functioning of dock operations and maintain high safety standards.

Your leadership and organizational skills will be essential in directing hourly warehouse personnel and managing the flow of goods.

Duties & Responsibilities:


* Assist with directing and supervising hourly warehouse personnel to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.


* Partner with and back up the Warehouse Supervisor and Distribution Clerk, providing support as needed.


* Coordinate dock operations, managing inbound and outbound trucks, and ensuring adherence to dock safety protocols.


* Evaluate and disposition incoming freight, ensuring proper handling and placement within the warehouse.


* Assist with order verification and coordinate the accurate and efficient loading of outbound freight.


* Conduct inventory activities for all materials located in the Distribution Center in compliance with established procedures.


* Abide by all safety and operating rules, fostering a culture of safety within the warehouse.


* Perform other duties as required to support overall warehouse operations.

Education and Experience:


* High School Diploma or GED required.


* DOT 49 CFR HAZMAT certified or ability to obtain certification.


* Previous warehouse experience required, with a solid understanding of warehouse operations.


* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).


* Experience with SAP is a plus.


* Forklift and/or Reach Truck experience (preferred)

Physical Requirements: 


* Vision and manual dexterity for frequent keyboard / PC use.

Vision sufficient to read labels & tickets, and to safely navigate high volume pedestrian and machine traffic. 


* Ability to move throughout the Distribution Center.

Target Salary: $50,000 annually (OT eligible)
