Occupational Therapist - Pediatric Acute Care/Adult Coverage

Work Schedule :

60% FTE, 24 hours/week.

8-hour day shift, 3 weekdays and rotational weekend (Saturday/Sunday) every 4 weeks.

Hours may vary based on the operational needs of department.

Pay :


* This position may be eligible for a $2,400 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE).

Make a positive impact in a patient's life as you help them heal through physical rehabilitation.

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) with pediatric experience and experience/interest in the adult patient population to:


* Provide consultative and developmentally appropriate habilitative and rehabilitative treatment services to complex pediatric patients (infant to adolescent) in the acute care, inpatient rehab, and NICU settings.


* Provide coverage to other areas within the Acute Care Occupational Therapy Departments (adult population) when indicated based on patient/client demands.


* Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive evidence-based patient and family treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes and discharge plans.


* Work within the context of patient- and family- centered care in a primary and specialty care academic medical center.

Education:


* Minimum - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.

Work Experience:


* Preferred - 2 years prior relevant experience.

Certifications:


* Minimum - Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Wisconsin.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
