Senior ServiceNow ITOM Engineer

What you will do to contribute to the company's success



* Administer and maintain the ServiceNow ITOM modules, including (but not limited to) CMDB, TNI, Service Mapping, and HAM.


* Develop and implement ITOM solutions to enhance the accuracy and completeness of the CMDB.


* Oversee the integration of ITOM modules with other ServiceNow applications and external systems.


* Conduct regular audits of the CMDB to ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement ServiceNow ITOM best practices.


* Create and maintain detailed documentation for ITOM processes, configurations, and workflows.


* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ITOM-related issues and enhancements.


* Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and administrators on ITOM functionalities and processes.


* Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.


* Stay current with ServiceNow updates and industry trends to continually enhance ITOM capabilities and performance.


* Conduct training for new technology integration, technology upgrades, new product design, and implementation to relevant Sparklight team members.


* Serve as the technical leader of a small team dedicated to ITOM management, providing guidance and mentorship


* Perform on-call duties and overnight production changes as assigned.


* Possible future opportunity to move into a Supervisory role over a small ITOM team.

Qualifications



* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.


* Minimum five years of related progressive experience in a ServiceNow ITOM role required.


* Previous working background in an MSO (Multiple System Operators) in the cable industry preferred.


* Proven ability to satisfactorily complete the functions of the ServiceNow ITOM Administrator role as it relates to CMDB, TNI, Service Mapping, and HAM.


* Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, and Python.


* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud services.


* Experience with REST/SOAP web services and integrations.


* Expert-level experience in ServiceNow, specifically related to ITOM modules.
