Operations Manager - Sustainable Home Lending

We are seeking an Operations Manager for our Sustainable Home Lending Department.

The Operations Manager is accountable for managing a loan operations team (when built out) which processes merchant loan originations and dealer reserves for Credit Human following the Sustainable Home Lending (SHL) business model.  This role is accountable for developing and implementing procedures and internal controls that will ensure that the team produces work output that is accurate, compliant, and meets established service quality standards.  The Operations Manager handles all funding which includes loan disbursements, dealer reserve accounting, reconciliations, and payments.  In addition, this role is accountable for some systems administration work for the merchant portals, loan origination system, SHL shared drive, legal filings, document management, reporting, and the development of business continuity plans for SHL operations.  Significant management duties include providing performance feedback to direct reports, developing annual training and development plans to optimize output of direct reports, promoting a positive work culture by supporting and modeling the unit’s core values, and serving as an escalation resource to direct reports for problems that require solutions not always found in procedure.

* Ensure that all loan processors meet the department’s funding quality expectations and guidelines


* Manage all customer and merchant documents to ensure all are properly imaged into the credit union’s imaging system


* Ensure that policy and procedures currently in place are consistently monitored; change or recommend changes to policy when necessary

Experience:

    Required


* 2+ years of experience in consumer lending processing and funding operations; lien procurement, ACH funding transactions, consumer credit/lending compliance


* 2+ years of experience in a leadership capacity directing staff in production and execution

 

Education:

    Required


* Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience

 

Licenses & Certifications:

    Required


* Possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record for occasional company car usage

 

Skills & Knowledge:

    Required


* Proven basic understanding of loan processing system and ability to utilize that understanding to create alternative ways of allocating resources to increase efficiency and effectiveness of sales


* Ability to manage, supervise, and lead others to achieve desired results


* Strong verbal/written communication skills


* Computer skills to include word-processing, spreadsheet, and email


* Strong organizational and human relation skills


* Customer service focused
