User Experience Lead H/F

In our division within Schneider Electric, we develop many types of products, ranging from devices with embedded displays to enterprise-level web-based software.

We'll need your strategic thinking and collaborative design skills at every stage of our product R&D process.

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other global designers, product engineers, customers, and business stakeholders to develop feasible, valuable and delightful designs that you are proud of.

Responsibilities



* Lead the strategic vision and conceptual design outcomes which provide a clear direction for our customer experiences.


* Apply your systems thinking and ability to understand complex relationships between various products, channels, features to drive better design outcomes.


* Have a strong skillset in visual and interaction design which enables you to visually communicate your work for influence and impact.


* Drive design reviews, design crits and be the design craft leader and coach to other designers to ensure consistent and cohesive AI experiences.


* Partner with leadership, stakeholders, cross-functional team members to create a unified design view.


* Be well-versed in both generative and evaluative qualitative research methodologies.


* Translate findings into action plans to quickly improve the customer experience.


* Apply design thinking skills on a variety of products (i.e.: devices with embedded displays, or enterprise-level web-based software), keeping a keen eye on opportunities to step in and step up.


* Collaborate with a global team to design products that you feel proud about.


* Create frameworks, conceptual diagrams, user flows, wireframes, detailed visual mockups, and prototypes to communicate high-level design strategies, while also diving deep with product and engineering to implement your vision.


* Deliver high quality creative products while insisting on high standards and attention to detail.


* Present to business, design, and executive-level leadership, and support your design rationale using quantitative data and site metrics, customer feedback, and usability findings.


* Work with business and technical stakeholders to visualize longer-term project visions and define shorter-term scope requirements.


* Respectfully decline the status quo and push both colleagues and stakeholders outside their comfort zones.

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you'll have 5+ years of design and research experience under your belt.

Experience with research (Planning, facilitating and reporting) and UI/UX design best practices (Design principles, common design tools, and strong communication skills).



* Product design experience designing complex or enterprise-level software.


* Experience in creating and delivering strategic org wide design programs which impact multiple delivery teams.
