Job Overview:

Ensures assigned projects have available equipment to complete work and that fleet functional teams are prepared to provide support.

Communicates with project management and site teams, providing strategic guidance, instruction, and information related to equipment management practices and utilization.

Evaluates overall utilization, life cycles, owning & operating costs, and 3^rd party rental costs, making recommendations based on forecasted project requirements.

Supports functional teams within the fleet organization to ensure all project needs are solved, delivered, and maintained to insure maximum equipment availability and productivity.

Coordinates with fleet leadership to help drive down bottom-line cost, understanding strategic goals of the company.

Familiar with a variety of the fleet / equipment applications, field operation concepts, practices, and work procedures.

Ensures processes are followed and all fleet management systems are updated timely and accurately.

Monitors overall fleet condition, making recommendations on repairs, reconditions, replacements, and / or disposal of assets as needed.

Key Accountabilities: 


* Represent the fleet department as a field point of contact and project liaison.


* Constantly be engaged with project management and site teams within assigned business unit.


* Assist fleet functional teams to ensure projects receive excellent service and support.


* Preform scheduled project / job-site visits, weekly.


* Provide scheduled reporting on equipment availability, scheduled repairs, downtime, and operator damage / abuse / neglect.


* Facilitate local vendor communications, ensuring projects are supported and needs are met.


* Plan and develop business cases to support fleet right sizing, asset procurement and disposal.


* Communicate and present standard fleet processes and documentation regularly.
