Our department „Biostatistics & Data Science Core Lab & Point of Care“ employs more than 100 biostatisticians and data scientists in Munich, Penzberg, Mannheim and Indianapolis.

We are collaborating with teams from all areas of Roche Diagnostics giving consultancy in all matters of statistics and data science.

This includes the planning and analysis of experiments and studies as much as the development of new statistical methods to solve problems and the preparation of automated reports for standard analysis.

We accompany projects from the very beginning in the early development until the late stages of the final release of a product.

These products can be big measurement devices for laboratories, individual assays or any other type of medical diagnostics tool.

Your objectives/tasks



* Your activity includes statistical and bioinformatics analysis of mass-spectrometric experiments or comparable technologies in research departments according to project requirements.

  


* You are responsible for the planning of experiments and the analysis of the generated data including validated reporting but also dynamic, interactive data visualizations.


* You are responsible for the development and maintenance of data analytics pipelines for data extraction, storage and analysis in state-of-the-art software and using the available computing environment.


* As a link between research departments, external and internal business partners and other statisticians, your communication skills contribute significantly to the success of these projects.

 
Your Profile



* University degree (ideally PhD) in statistics, mathematics, physics or bioinformatics


* Preferably work experience in industry.


* Experience in the fields of statistical modelling and design of experiments.


* Previous experience with mass spectrometry data, e.g.

peak integration, raw chromatographic data processing and MS data management, is a plus.


* Excellent knowledge of statistical software (e.g.

R, JMP, etc.) and reproducible reporting (Markdown, Quarto, Latex).


* Excellent knowledge of databases, version control (GIT) and R-Shiny.
