Strategic Events Manager 12-month Contract

Reporting to the Growth Marketing Senior Manager, the Strategic Events Manager core mission is to manage the strategic sponsorships' portfolio for Schneider Electric in Canada, ensuring customers experience and brand presence aligned with the company's standards.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

What will you do?


* Define and execute the evolution of our brand's presence at the dozens of trade shows and signature events we participate in yearly across our channels and segments.


* Deliver world class experiences during our proprietary signature events such as Innovation Days and Canada Commercial Pulse.


* Serve as project leader on specific internal and external signature events, overseeing all aspects of each event and coordinating with other teams to plan, implement, manage event logistics (AV, equipment/furnishings, registration, catering, managing vendors, etc.) and provide on-site event management and support when needed.


* Serve as the country Point of contact for all non-signature events to review, evaluate and approve or decline company's participation.

If approved, provide direction on event process and approved vendors.


* Initiate and lead meetings with stakeholders to define and monitor scope and format of events and event budgets.


* Review administrative procedures and event progress, and provide guidance and policy interpretation when needed.


* Responsible for budget planning and management, venue management and equipment for specific events.


* Inspect event venues to ensure they conform to the event needs.


* Oversee registration strategy and logistics as needed.


* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.


* Procure and coordinate vendor services.


* Provide support for virtual and hybrid events.


* Partner with sales and business leadership to ensure content, messaging and brand presence creates an exemplary experience for all attendees.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?


* Bachelor's Degree Marketing, Communications, or related field


* 3+ years of enterprise events experience including trade shows and proprietary in person and digital events.


* Strong communication and presentation skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.


* Ability to coordinate across multiple groups to deliver end-to-end events experience (event logistics, registration, promotion, etc)


* Understanding of B2B event ROI, with a strong focus on process and efficiency


* Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen to ensure events are delivered within budget.


* Knowledge of event technology and software for event planning, management, and analytics.


* Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to innovate and adapt to evolving event trends.


* Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment.
