Georgia-Pacific's Pro Business Division is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations department at the Camas Mill located in Camas, Washington.

The role is responsible for increasing the effectiveness of the paper making process by improving reliability, product and equipment performance, work processes, and team member capabilities.

What You Will Do

• Developing, Managing and executing Georgia-Pacific's reliability and asset strategies

• Leading the continuous efforts to identify, investigate, recommend, and implement equipment improvements, new systems, and process changes to improve productivity, yield, quality, and reduce costs

• Providing strategic and tactical leadership in the areas of safety, asset reliability, cost optimization, productivity, and strategic capital planning and execution

• Driving improvement to operating metrics in all equipment of the work system

• Collaborating with the operations team to build systems to improve productivity

• Exemplify and advance Market Based Management (MBM®).

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Requirements:


* 3 or more years of manufacturing experience within and paper or pulp manufacturing operation


* 2 year or more experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and/or reliability strategies


* Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word (to write business correspondence), Excel (for use of spreadsheets, reporting, simple formulas) and Outlook (for internal and external correspondence)

What Will Put You Ahead



* Bachelor's Degree or higher in pulp and paper science or related engineering field


* Lean (Six sigma) implementation experience


* 5 or more years of manufacturing experience within a paper or pulp manufacturing operation

For this role, we anticipate paying $110,000- $135,000 per year.

This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
