On-Call Culinary Professional

Work in the Land O'Lakes Culinary Center supporting both the retail and food service test kitchens initiatives.

Looking for an individual with strong culinary skills, obtained by working in a professional kitchen or catering business.

Your culinary skills will be leveraged for product testing, preparing food for customers meetings and conference, recipe development, and concept testing.

Must have skills:


* Demonstrate a true passion for cooking, food, and flavors.


* Demonstrate a strong background in basic food service culinary techniques and cooking methods.


* Equal interest in the science of cooking and the artistic elements of cooking.


* Have skills in food styling or food photography.


* Understand the safe operation procedures of standard food service equipment.


* Ability and desire to taste, critique and provide honest feedback on a variety of food products, recipes, and ingredients throughout the workday.


* Attention to detail and ability to clearly document work process and details electronically

Your culinary skills will be leveraged for the following:


* Develop and test recipes and provide clear and accurately written preparation directions.


* Prepare pre-pro decks or story boards for photo shoots.


* Support cross-functional business partners with culinary knowledge to support business initiatives.


* Familiar with and can support food photos, gifs or video content creation for recipe/food ideas.

Background: Bachelor of Science degree.

Experience in professional Kitchen or catering business

Position is a flexible on-call position, no guaranteed hours, work is based on business needs.

Must be available Monday-Friday between 8am and 4pm and be able to at work at the Land O'Lakes, Inc., Arden Hills, MN office.
