Director of Sales

We are looking for a Director of Sales to join us at Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel and InterContinental Edinburgh’s Cluster Sales Team!

As our Director of Sales, you will be driven by sales and passionate about the Hospitality industry (within the highly competitive and growing Luxury Market within Edinburgh).

You will be someone who is focussed on achieving and surpassing business goals to promote our Hotels and contribute to the continued growing success through identifying trends, creating strategies and analysing data to maximise revenue.

It is essential that you have a depth of understanding of the various segments (i.e.

corporate, conference, group, incentive and Luxury Leisure) and can actively work with existing and new clients effectively.

This role reports into our Hotel General Manager and works closely with the commercial teams within both properties, managing a team of driven Sales individuals.

As our Director of Sales at the Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel and InterContinental Edinburgh Hotel, your main duties and responsibilities will be: 


* Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize the hotel’s profitability within the luxury market in Edinburgh


* Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and actively identifying and developing new business opportunities based on current and upcoming trends 


* Conducting marketing research to keep up to date with trends within the market, whilst analysing data to ensure maximum revenue 


* Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to contribute to the success of our overall property goals, communicating closely with various departments and working closely with our General Managers at both properties 


* Managing and developing budgets to ensure sales targets are being exceeded and the efficiency of costs


* Reporting sales data to our General Managers and other internal stakeholders on a regular basis, communicating revenue statistics and presenting specific data insights

So, we are looking for someone who has…


* Experience in a senior sales management role in a hotel or hospitality environment with a proven track record of sales achievements (preferably within the Luxury Market) 


* An in depth of knowledge of all market segments i.e., corporate, conference, group, incentive and Luxury Leisure


* Microsoft package skills and Delphi knowledge
