Senior Network Automation Engineer

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an experienced network focused, Senior Platform Engineer who, under minimal supervision, will design, develop, and maintain network equipment.
A successful candidate will be a highly skilled member of a network team responsible for manufacturing infrastructure emphasizing network and operational reliability.

This role will give you the opportunity to use your skills to support the entire Georgia-Pacific enterprise, including 110 manufacturing locations, corporate HQ, and many carpeted spaces.

What You Will Do
• Scope of work to cover network infrastructure platforms for all Georgia-Pacific's manufacturing facilities, including mills, plants, and warehouses.
• Increase infrastructure reliability by partnering with other IT capabilities leveraging an agile approach to address reliability opportunities.
• Function as a platform owner for enterprise network equipment, tools and services (Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco ISE, etc.)
• Develop and maintain network equipment lifecycle strategy.
• Develop and maintain network equipment configuration standards.
• Project lead for network equipment lifecycle replacement.
• Manage the production and lab Cisco Catalyst Center appliance and other tools to manage network device standards and updates.
• Develop network automation playbook and scripts.
• Analyze system failures or bugs and providing solutions to restore functionality demonstrating a high level of initiative and executing against a defined plan and strategy.
• Wired and Wireless network design and troubleshooting.
• Firewall network design and troubleshooting.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Experience in technology and/or manufacturing environment and the support of included systems.
• Working Knowledge of the following Tools: ServiceNow/ITOM, LogicMonitor, Splunk, Python, Ansible, Cisco Catalyst Center)
• Experience with network automation scripting languages and tools
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment or equivalent network technologies
• Experience in technical related position administering wired and wireless networks or firewall security.
• Experience with the management of LAN networks, TCP/IP, OPC, 802.11 protocols and network technologies (wired & wireless).
• Experience with the Purdue model for industrial controls
• Experience with Project Management
