Your Role: Rail Control Operator II

This position is responsible for the management of materials involved in the plant railways and warehousing operations as well as all rail assets involved with the Clinton site.

This includes, but is not limited to, receiving, sampling, moving, and preparing material for use and it is responsible for maintaining and tracking all railcars on site and in transit.

This position is the primary point of contact and site SME for all rail-related assets and operations at Clinton including cars, tracks, switches, crossings, engines/trackmobile, and most importantly the safe operation of all rail movements.

Your Responsibilities:


* Manage rail fleet for movements, maintenance, and demurrage.


* Perform physical tasks within warehouses including such things as receiving, sampling, labeling, loading/unloading of materials from various vehicles (dry bulk and liquid semi-trailers, railcars, etc.), movement of materials using various vehicles (fork trucks, semi-trailers, railcars), etc.


* Manage paperwork and electronic documentation for CSX and the Federal Railroad Administration as well as assist during FRA audits.


* Work with outside track maintenance on repairs and preventative maintenance.


* Perform cycle counting activities on periodic basis to maintain accurate inventory levels.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):


* Education:  High School Diploma or GED


* Required Experience:  Ability to work in manufacturing/warehousing environment.


* Basic computer skills.


* Good documentation skills.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):


* Previous experience moving railcars preferred.


* Previous experience working in warehouse and/or GMP environment preferred.


* Previous experience with SAP preferred.


* Previous experience with operating fork trucks and/or CDL license preferred.
