Wax Injector 1 (Brown Wax) - 3rd Shift (Chittenango, NY)

We are currently looking for an experienced individual for our Wax department.

Perform all required duties relating to setting up and operating one or more of the semi-automatic injection machines for production of a variety of patterns.

This is a Monday - Friday, 3rd Shift position with a starting rate of $18.27 and a rate of $19.00 at 6 months.

Additionally, we are currently offering a $3 shift differential, $1,000 sign on bonus.

We also offer a 5% quarterly bonus plan with full benefits package and 50% 401k company match.

Must be able to train on 1st shift for 4 - 6 weeks.

Brown Wax Injector -


* Responsible for making a wide variety of wax patterns, including patterns made from complicated dies having a large number of die components and core inserts that have to be disassembled sequentially to remove pattern and reassembled for subsequent injection operations.


* Visually inspect and identify patterns for defects such as negatives, non-fills, etc.


* Ability to run the Semi-Automatic Wax Injection Presses.


* Keep leadership fully informed of irregularities or concerns.


* May be required to perform the functions of an Assembler as needed.


* Identify and implement improvement opportunities through the use of tools such as Systematic Problem Solving, Process Management, Value Stream Mapping, etc.


* Responsible for adherence to all safety policies, practices and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS


* Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


* Experience: No prior experience required


* Certifications/Licenses:

Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, workstation documents and Internal Method Sheets (IMS).

Ability to format Standard Injection Practices (SIP).

Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers and leadership.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY - Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardized exists.
