Product Owner - Senior Lead Security Engineer

As a Senior Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Cybersecurity and Tech Controls, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior.

Job responsibilities



* Facilitates security requirements clarification for multiple networks to enable multi-level security to satisfy organizational needs


* Work with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability


* Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for security products.


* Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer needs and business goals.


* Collaborate with engineering/SRE teams to deliver high-quality products on time


* Create and maintain a detailed product backlog, ensuring alignment with the overall product and business strategy.


* Lead agile development processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.


* Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve the product.


* Analyze product performance data to identify areas for improvement and drive product enhancements.


* Ensure that all products comply with industry standards and regulations related to security and data protection.


* Stay informed about the latest security threats and trends to proactively address potential risks.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills



* Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.

In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.


* Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level security solutions


* Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)


* Extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing


* Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight


* Practical cloud native experience


* Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the technology or cybersecurity industry.


* Strong understanding of one of the following: endpoint, virtualization, Infrastructure-as-code, hardware security concepts and technologies.
