Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Altec is hiring a Staff Accountant in Birmingham, AL (Corporate Location).

This is an entry level position for associates that maintain financial records and complete transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform fundamental accounting responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Preparing journal entries
• Reconciling general ledger accounts
• Preparing financial schedules
• Assisting with audit fieldwork
• Ability to work effectively with the accounting team
• Ability to manage time and prioritize individual workload to meet deadlines
• Resolve assigned issues with support
• All other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Consideration may be given to an exceptional internal candidate with two years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree with Accounting leadership approval.
