Legal Assistant

 

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring a Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to our legal department.

This is a full-time position based in Aberdeen, SD. 

 

More about the position responsibilities: 


* Draft correspondence on behalf of the Chief Legal Officer.


* Manage the drug screening process, including locating collection locations, tracking results, and managing monthly statements.


* Assist in the preparation and filing of annual reports with relevant agencies.


* Facilitate the service of legal documents through designated channels.


* Coordinate the collection and submission of medical and employee records in response to subpoenas.


* Assist in the preparation, review, and organization of various contracts.


* Handle tasks related to new property offerings, including reviewing subscription books, tracking investors, and issuing membership certificates.


* Register new LLCs, DBAs, and EINs as required, managing all necessary documentation and filings for new business entities.


* Manage the initial licensure process for new properties.


* Assist in the preparation and distribution of K-1 forms.


* Coordinate vehicle registration, as needed.


* Review state regulations and local resources to update and maintain accurate occupancy agreements.


* Facilitate Policy and Procedure Committee meetings, edit, and post new or updated policies and procedures.


* Assist with overall risk management items as directed by the Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President of Nursing and Memory Care.


* Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer, in line with the overall Mission and goals of Primrose Operations.

* Associate's degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.


* Proven experience in a legal support role or administrative capacity.


* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
