Position Summary

Responsible for executing helper duties to assist assigned crew.

Primary Responsibility


* Basic rigging, come along, etc.


* Thread metal pipe, conduit


* Cut pipe, conduit, metal, wood


* Material handling


* Fork truck and pickup truck driving


* Use basic tools and care of the tools


* Use of hand electric power tools and pneumatic tools


* Assist mechanics in assembly and work performance, demolition, cleaning, removing debris


* Building and ground maintenance

Qualifications


* Minimum 3 years industrial construction/maintenance industry experience


* Knowledge of fire protecting, different types of metals, bearings, mechanical seals, tandem seals, compression packing, multi-stage pumps, vertical pumps, different types of drive coupling, cooling tower fan units, gearboxes and agitators

Physical Requirements


* Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Repetitive Motions
