Settlement & Currency Operations Manager
We are seeking a Settlement and Currency Operations Manager for the Currency and Settlement Operations Department.
The Settlement & Currency Operations Manager is accountable for building and maintaining a team to perform the functions and responsibilities relating to Currency Management and Network Settlement Operations.
The organizational functional aspects of the role’s span of control and authority are leading a team comprised of Currency Management Operations (including cash replenishment, currency management, and forecasting, 3^rd party armor vendor management, fraud monitoring, and member disputes) and Network Settlement Operations (including POS/PIN card base network settlement, ATM/ITM/Credit Union Vault balancing and settlement, ATM and remote deposit capture processing, fraud monitoring, and GL reconciliation).
The role is accountable for developing effective procedures and performance matrices that support policy, quality standards, and service requirements and ensuring compliance with the approved policy, procedures, and processes within the functional area.

Highlights:
* Ensures the process for forecasting currency is monitored for effectiveness to ensure enough cash is in our vault to fulfill orders for ATMs, ITMs, and Retail Delivery Channel (RDC)
* Ensures currency orders prepared by RDC, are verified for accuracy and submitted timely for next-day delivery
* Ensures cash letters are created properly and submitted to the vendor for processing and imaging
* Monitors to ensure general ledger entries are accurate and discrepancies/mismatches are appropriately researched and reconciled
* Monitors and authorizes within set limits, Settlement & Currency Operations operating expenses, to ensure costs align with the department's budget and look for trends and opportunities in efforts to reduce operating expenses
* Stay informed of new trends, tools, and products as they relate to Currency Management
Experience:
Required
* 3 years of experience with a financial institution including 2 years of Cash Management and/or ATM/ITM experience with a financial institution of comparable size.
* Management experience preferred
* Customer service focus in a team environment
Education:
Required
* High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business and/or equivalent work experience
