HR Director

SUMMARY

This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and human resources support to the company.

The HR Director will execute human resources initiatives and promote a high-performance environment, including employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, sourcing and staffing, talent development, compensation, policy compliance, communications, and employee relations.

This position is also responsible for compliance with centralized HR policies, procedures and the corporate HRIS system administration requirements. 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


* Advise and counsel senior leaders to optimize employee engagement, team and talent development, and organization effectiveness.


* Work in partnership with leadership to communicate and implement HR programs that support business goals and drive results to include diverse background and ways of thinking.

 


* Oversite of Human Resources processes, including, talent assessment, performance management, compensation plans, investigations, training, and development support, etc.


* Advise managers on compensation-related decisions to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.


* Counsel managers through challenging performance management situations.

Support managers in developing and communicating plans to address areas of improvement.


* Objectively assess and bring to resolution employee relations issues.


* Counsel employees on performance, career planning, work/life balance and other topics.


* Partner with senior management in developing company business strategies from the HR perspective.


* Vendor relations and contract negotiation as appropriate.


* Develops and implements human resources policies to meet organizational needs and comply with state and federal laws.


* Oversees research of local market rates for positions to assess relationship to organization compensation plan, determining if and where pay adjustments should be made.


* Analyzes trends in turnover, hiring, promotions, separations, and conflict resolutions to determine support or action needed to adjust unfavorable trends.


* Assists with questions and problems courteously and promptly.


* Assist the FJ centralized benefits department in administering the open enrollment process for insurance and other eligible benefits.


* Prepare correspondence, forms and reports, processing confidential reports and documents.


* Managing sensitive and confidential information like employee relations issues, and organizational changes.


* Exercising individual judgment while dealing with difficult situations.

QUALIFICATIONS 


* BS in Human Resources or related field required.

MBA or MS in Human Resources preferred.


* 5-7+ years of Human Resources generalist experience


* Excellent communication skills with all employee levels including senior management
