Industrial Engineer I

The Industrial Engineer I applies industrial engineering techniques to design, develop, test and evaluate integrated systems for managing operational processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis and production coordination.

They evaluate processes, considering workflow, layout, safety and other measures,
and drafts, designs and implements improvements to improve performance, streamline operations and achieve cost and other efficiencies.

This is a hybrid position, located in our Phoenix, AZ office

What you will do to contribute to the company's success


* Gains familiarity with Industrial Engineering concepts, practices and methodologies.


* With guidance, performs standard industrial engineering duties, including:
+ Assessing current operational methods and processes
+ Developing problem statements and investigating the root cause of noted issues and process limitations
+ Developing process and system level requirements
+ Assisting with the development, evaluation and testing of proposed system and process improvements.


* Develops positive working relationships with front line associates and management.


* Assists with special projects as assigned.

Qualifications


* BA/BS Degree in Industrial Engineering or Engineering


* Formal statistical training


* Formal training in process
improvement methodology
(DMAIC)


* Knowledge of Six Sigma problem
solving and black belt
