Title: Youth Program Assistant - Marysville - Aerospace Program

Salary Range: $22.00-26.00 hourly

About the Position

The Youth Program Assistant will work jointly with the Youth Program Manager in the planning and implementation of daily events and activities for Youth, ages 15-21, in college and career preparation while prompting environmental stewardship, 21 st century digital skills and soft skills.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.


* Implement student curriculum.


* Oversee the classroom environment to support youth and classroom goals.


* Assist the instructor in providing a quality training experience.


* Encourage and support youth participation in the training experience.


* Assist in facilitating and supervising youth program group meetings, workshops and special projects.


* Assist the instructor in developing lesson plans based on the youth goals.


* Supervise breakfast and lunch.


* Drive youth to field trips and provide off-site supervision.


* Participate in program meetings with instructors and partner with organization staff.


* Responsible to support, advance, and contribute to a DEI framework.


* Collaborate with students, staff and managers to purposefully work to implement student centered DEI initiatives.


* Attend required meetings, trainings and develop and deliver presentations.


* Assist in organizing and supervising field trips, such as outdoor activities in wilderness settings.


* Upholds safe work practices in support of a safety culture through awareness and observation; assist in safety training of employees; reports any potential hazards or accidents.


* Perform other duties as assigned.
