Desired Previous Job Experience
* General knowledge of Distribution/Logistics operations.
* Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Computer Skills: Kroger On-line Purchasing / Inventory systems, Excel, LAN and Internet and Internet based Applications.
* Customer Service experience, heavy phone use and proper etiquette skills.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Good listening skills.
* Tolerance to stressful situations; remain calm during periods of increased stress.
* Ability to adjust / adapt to change.
* Ability to work off-scheduled hours that may include weekends and holidays.
* Good organizational and time management skills.
Essential Job Functions:
* Schedule inbound deliveries and pickups for Kroger DC's and manufacturing plants.
* Plan and schedule fleet pickups at vendor locations.
* Ability to work in a fast paced, intense environment and meet timelines.
* Interface with buying teams.
* Perform end-of-day administration i.e.: print/distribute DC receiving schedules, (among other duties).
* Communicate with carrier, contract carries and fleets.
* Daily involvement with DC warehousing operations.
* Ability to work and be productive in a team oriented / team environment.
* Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
